Domination!

I am a Business Major in college, and this means that sometimes I have to stand up in front of large groups of people and tell them things.

Today, I had to do that in THREE of my classes.

What's notable about that?
Well...
I've been fasting for 8 days.

I know that's not a lot, but 8 days without any solids and going in front of three classes of your peers and professors? That's kinda freaky.

GOOD NEWS THOUGH:
I didn't pass out.
I didn't cry.
I didn't do anything but TOTALLY kick ass.

I only mention this because I feel like sometimes it's easy to focus on the failures of the day (like the 200 calorie half chicken salad I ate this evening, destroying all my hard work! >.<). However, I refuse to do that, because today I conquered at something, and that's better than nothing.

So here's some "Don't Take No Shit!" thinspo for you-
To get you equally pumped. ;)

(That was just a teeny bit. Just wanted to give you something to download and steal!)
I hope your days are amazing!

Love,
Naomi.

Inspiration from Children's Books (Part 1)

Today was a hard day. Free brownies in Health Class.
Really, Health Class? Was that necessary?

Luckily, instead of taking the time to walk around and socialize with my crumb-spreading peers, I pulled out this book:

AMAZING decision. This book was a TOTALLY awesome random find.

It's about Wilbur the Naked Mole Rat, who lives a different lifestyle than everyone else.
(Similarity 1.)
Wilbur feels more comfortable when clothed.
(Similarity 2- Considering... :P)
Wilbur does not take shit from anyone, and he becomes an awesome inspiration in individualism.
(Similarity 3?)

Then, with some google-searching, I found this:

I want to sleep with it. EVERY DAY. And steal its socks. And maybe the teeth... Hmm...

By the time I had finished reading, google-searching, and ogling, the brownie-munching of the class was over and I was able to return to the normally scheduled programming of class- WITHOUT FAILING.

This book pulled me through today. That's why when I anticipate a stressful week, I go to the library and randomly select like 5 children's books. I just keep one I haven't read in my backpack at all times, waiting for an emergency.

Is this ridiculously silly? Duh.
Is it effective? Obviously.

Hope you adopt the idea at least once, just to try it... :)

Love,
Naomi.

Life as a Happy Ana

[I have never been a blogger, but I want to be one now.]

As life passes at its breakneck pace, it's becoming harder for me to take a step back every once in awhile to just appreciate what I've got:
  • I'm alive.
  • I have a beautiful family, best friends, and boyfriend.
  • I'm lucky enough to be attending college on scholarship.
  • I have a ridiculously large collection of coffee, tea, juice, and vodka.
  • I'm dedicated to Ana and it's paying off.
Every time life throws something crazy at me, I'm going to post something positive here. It will be my reminder to look on the bright side of life, and never take anything too seriously.

Hopefully, I might even make some friends out of the experience-
Some other people who like to laugh and share things that they discover in the middle of the night when everyone else is too sleepy to crack up over it.

But... If no one visits this page, if I blog every day for myself alone, then at least I'm doing it with a smile.

Love,
Naomi.
